How do you quote a project?

Every project is different. Send the scope or call, and a project coordinator will walk through a quote with you. It's free, with no commitment.

Can you work from our redlines and CAD files?

Yes. Send marked-up PDFs, sketches, details or CAD files and we'll draft from them. If something's missing, we'll ask instead of guessing.

Can you measure an existing building for us?

Yes. Site visits and field measurements are part of what we do, so your design can start from accurate existing conditions.

Do you seal or stamp drawings?

No. HDS is a drafting firm. When a project needs a licensed engineer's or architect's seal, the drawings go to the design professional of record for review and sealing.

Will my plans get through the county?

We draft to Florida Building Code and your county's requirements. If the building department comes back with comments, we'll help you work through them.

Do you draft HOA and The Villages ARC plans?

Yes. Architectural review committees want drawings, not descriptions: dimensions, materials and placement on the lot. We draft ARC plans for screen enclosures, lanai conversions, pool additions, sunrooms and full HOA review packages.

How do revisions work?

Mark up the set and send it back. We revise it, keep you posted, and make the changes before anything is submitted.

Do you work with homeowners and contractors too?

Yes. Homeowners, builders and design professionals all use HDS. If your client's contractor needs the set, we can work with them directly.
